Calculator inputs
In the current version, calculator inputs are generally processed in your browser and are not intentionally sent to an EgoTools database. Some tools may contact third-party public APIs, such as Wikimedia, to retrieve historical information.
Health estimates
Tools such as Heartbeats Alive provide user-controlled entertainment estimates and are not medical measurements or health advice.
Local exploration progress
EgoTools may use browser local storage to remember which tools have been explored on that device. This is used only for the local exploration counter and does not require an account.
Game best scores
Some mini-games use browser local storage to remember a best score on that device. EgoTools does not require an account for these scores.
Analytics
EgoTools may use privacy-conscious analytics in the future to understand aggregate site usage. Any optional analytics that require consent will be handled through the applicable consent controls before those analytics are enabled.
Advertising and Google AdSense
EgoTools uses Google AdSense to manage advertising. Google and participating advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device information and similar technologies to deliver, measure and protect advertising, subject to the visitor’s region, consent choices and applicable law.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising consent choices are managed through a Google-certified consent management platform where required. Visitors can accept, refuse or manage available consent options.

Third-party services
Wikimedia-powered features may send the requested month/day and ordinary technical request information to Wikimedia's servers. Their services are governed by their own policies.
Contact
For privacy questions, correction requests or data-related enquiries, email contact@egotools.fun.
Favorites, streaks and local records
EgoTools may use browser local storage to remember favorites, game personal bests, optional sound preference, tools explored, and Daily Challenge streak information on that device. These features do not require an EgoTools account.
Challenge links
If you create a “Beat my score” link, the score to beat is placed in the URL you choose to share. Do not include personal information in shared URLs.
Server-recorded challenges
When you create a competitive EgoTools challenge, the server stores the game, score, challenge code, language, creation time, expiry time and optional parent challenge so the shared link can display the same recorded result to everyone who opens it.
For abuse prevention and rate limiting, EgoTools stores salted one-way hashes derived from the requesting IP address and browser user-agent. The challenge database does not store the raw IP address in these fields. Hosting/server logs may still be processed separately by the hosting provider as part of normal website operation.
Challenge records expire after approximately 180 days. Short-lived game-session tokens expire after approximately two hours. Expired records are periodically removed.
Optional nickname, country flag and global leaderboard
Competitive challenge creators may optionally choose a nickname and country flag. The browser suggests a country from the saved preference or browser locale; the user can change it before sharing. If provided, nickname and country code become public parts of that challenge and may appear in the game's global challenge leaderboard.
Nicknames are limited and sanitized. No EgoTools account is required. The selected nickname and country preference are also saved locally in the browser for convenience.
Site-wide optional profile
EgoTools can remember an optional nickname and flag preference in browser local storage so the visitor does not need to enter them for every challenge. The profile can be changed at any time from the profile button in the site header. No account is created by this feature.
