Game logic
The game counts clicks only while the round is active. CPS is simply total valid clicks ÷ 5 seconds, and the target disappears when time ends.
Five seconds. One button. No excuses.
Press Start, then click the big button as fast as possible.
Your result is ready.
Restart unlocks in a moment so rapid clicks cannot trigger it by accident.See how many valid clicks you can make in a fixed five-second round and convert the total into clicks per second (CPS).
The game counts clicks only while the round is active. CPS is simply total valid clicks ÷ 5 seconds, and the target disappears when time ends.
Higher CPS is faster. Your saved best is useful for comparing yourself with the same browser/device, where input hardware is consistent.
42 clicks in five seconds is 8.40 CPS. The result screen then requires an intentional retry rather than restarting because you kept clicking.
Mouse switches, touchscreens, polling rates and accessibility settings can change results. It is a speed game, not a standardized dexterity test.
Clicks per second feels like a pure motor score, but the number also depends on mouse switches, touchscreen handling, browser event delivery and the technique you use during the short test window.
A five-second test measures a brief burst. It says more about peak clicking pace than about sustainable input for longer sessions.
Single-finger clicking, alternating fingers and specialized gaming techniques are not directly equivalent. Compare like with like if you care about personal progress.
Input devices have different debounce behavior, switch feel and reporting characteristics. Browser event handling also means the page records delivered clicks, not a direct physiological signal.
High CPS has little value in a real game if clicks are mistimed or poorly aimed. Treat this test as a narrow dexterity challenge rather than a general gaming-skill ranking.
| Signal | What it is useful for | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| 5-second CPS | Peak burst | Easy to overinterpret |
| Repeated CPS | Consistency | Better for personal trend |
| Different mouse | Hardware comparison | Not a clean skill comparison |
| CPS + aim | More game-like | Measures a different task |
Fast repetitive clicking can irritate fingers or wrists. This is a mini-game, not an endurance challenge. Pain is a reason to stop, not a score to push through.
