ASSUMPTIONS & INTERPRETATION

Since You Were Born

Translate elapsed lifetime into several perspectives: calendar-derived counts plus clearly labelled estimates for recurring natural cycles.

Estimate model

Exact date arithmetic can count values such as elapsed days and leap days. Approximate cycle counts use average lengths for seasons, lunar cycles or Earth orbits.

What the number means

Do not read every number with the same precision. EgoTools separates exact calendar outputs from “about” values based on averages.

Worked example

Thirty years is exactly a certain date interval for one birth date, but “about 120 seasons” is a perspective estimate rather than a log of astronomical boundaries crossed.

Good to know

Natural cycles are not perfectly uniform and season naming depends on hemisphere, so approximate values are labelled accordingly.
